Technological Milestone: GIMS-CISCO lab inauguration and Center of Excellence Advancements 2023-2024

The GIMS-Cisco Lab found its inaugural moment at the Postgraduate Lab, symbolizing a substantial stride in technological advancement within our newly established Center of Excellence (COE). In collaboration with the EdCreate Foundation, a valued ASC partner of Cisco Networking Academy, the event hosted Mr. Anurag Srivastava, Cisco CSR for NetAcad in India and South Asia, as our esteemed Chief Guest.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) and G-EDGE cell have organized Global Learn –A- Thon virtual workshop in collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy, from 15 th April 2024 – 26 th April 2024

Congratulations are extended to GIMS for winning 4th place in the Instructor

category during the Cisco Networking Academy International Girls in ICT Day Global Learn-A-Thon with 736 Cisco-certification completion during 11 days. And all our students received successful completion Certificates. This achievement showcases GIMS’s dedication to motivating student’s community inclusive of girls and boys and Faculty fraternity to consider STEAM education and careers, making a significant contribution to promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

Introduction: 

The Virtual Internship Program (VIP) 2024 is a collaborative initiative between Cisco and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), designed to empower students in Cyber Security and align with India’s digital skilling agenda.

Objectives

– Skill Development: Equip students with essential technical skills through Cisco Networking Academy courses.

– Industry Engagement: Connect students with cybersecurity professionals to explore career pathways.

– Mentorship: Provide guidance from accredited instructors and local mentors.

Program Structure

– Eligibility: BCA, MCA, and other technical degree students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years.

– Focus Areas: Cyber Security principles and Packet Tracer simulation.

– Duration: May 2024 to July 2024
