At GIMS, the Center for Research and Faculty Development (CRFD) serves as the driving force behind our academic and scholarly excellence. This dedicated cell works tirelessly to nurture a vibrant research ecosystem and empower both faculty and students in their pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and impactful contributions.

At GIMS, research is more than an academic pursuit; it is the cornerstone of our commitment to innovation and societal impact. We foster a vibrant ecosystem that empowers our faculty and students to explore, collaborate, and contribute meaningful solutions to real-world challenges. Our approach is built on three key pillars:

1. Faculty Empowerment & Scholarly Growth

Our commitment to academic excellence is driven by the scholarly pursuits of our faculty. We are proud to have created an environment where high-level research thrives. This dedication is reflected in our numbers:

• Over 34% of our faculty are either Ph.D. holders or are actively pursuing their doctorate.
• This includes a strong core of established Ph.D. holders who lead our research initiatives and mentor junior faculty.
• An additional 15% of our faculty are currently enrolled in Ph.D. programs, with the full support and encouragement of the institution, ensuring our research culture is constantly growing.

2. Continuous Skill Development

A dynamic research culture is fueled by continuous learning. GIMS ensures our faculty and students remain at the forefront of their fields through a rich calendar of development programs.

• Monthly In-House FDPs: Regular sessions focused on emerging research methodologies, pedagogical techniques, and academic writing.
• Intensive Multi-Day FDPs: We organize deep-dive, multi-day Faculty Development Programmes on critical themes. Flagship initiatives like our 5-Day FDP on “New-Age Research Tools Using AI” and “Adapting the Digital Landscape” provide immersive learning experiences.
• Expert-Led Workshops & Talks: Our calendar is filled with specialized training and insightful talks from industry and academic leaders on cutting-edge topics, including Data Visualization with JMP and Power BI, modern statistical methods, and many more.

3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Student Involvement

We believe the most powerful solutions emerge at the intersection of disciplines. GIMS actively champions a culture of collaboration, breaking down traditional silos between Management, Computer Applications, and Commerce.

Our research culture extends directly to our students. Through initiatives like the Business Case Circuit Series, BCA/MCA Project Expos, and faculty-mentored projects, students gain invaluable hands-on experience, learning to apply theoretical knowledge and develop the analytical skills needed to thrive.
