The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is put in place in the institution in relation to the recommendations of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) so as to encourage a continuous quality improvement in the academic as well as administrative operations. The cell strives towards coming up with a methodical manner of improving the entire performance of the institution through the creation of a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, research and extension. It is concerned with the application of the innovative teaching practices, enhancement of research activities, and proper academic planning and evaluation. Regular audits facilitate the identification of areas for improvement, encourage transparency and accountability, and support the implementation of best practices. As a result, GIMS is able to strengthen its commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, governance, and overall institutional development. The IQAC is a facilitating and monitoring organization that establishes quality benchmarks, receives and evaluates feedbacks of the stakeholders and coordinates academic events like workshops, seminars and Faculty Development Programmes. It also develops and reports the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and records the best practices in the institution. By these efforts, the IQAC maintains a quality improvement in a steady state, transparency, and accountability in the working of the institution.
